News Production Director

Job Description: WXXV FOX 25/NBC 25, Gulfport/Biloxi, Mississippi market is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Newscast Production Directorto lead the production of daily newscasts, promotional spots, and special programming. This position requires strong technical skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure, and effective leadership within a fast-paced newsroom environment. RESPONSIBILITES:Direct live and recorded newscasts, promotional spots, and special programs Create and manage graphics for all newscasts Direct teases and commercial content as needed Serve as shift supervisor for the News Production team Assist with training and onboarding of new employees Maintain awareness of software updates and new production tools Submit daily written reports on quality control issues Communicate effectively with newsroom staff and other departments Perform additional duties and special projects as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to respond quickly to last-minute changes and work calmly under pressure Strong attention to detail and time-management skills Experience supervising or leading a production team Working knowledge of broadcast production equipment and software Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional, punctual, and courteous demeanor Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Reliable attendance recordPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience supervising or leading a production team Working knowledge of broadcast production equipment and software Degree in Film, Media, or CommunicationsBENEFITS:Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.)Paid Time Off Opportunities for training and professional growth Fast-paced, collaborative newsroom environment We utilize DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
