Part- Time Event Manager – Houston Rockets, Concerts & Special Events
Location: Toyota Center – Houston, TX
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-Time / Event-Based
Schedule: Evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules
Position Overview: BEST, A GardaWorld Company, is seeking professional and experienced Event Managers to oversee event staff and support the safe and successful execution of Houston Rockets games, concerts, and special events at Toyota Center. The Event Manager will supervise Event Supervisors and event staff, coordinate event operations, assist with guest services and security, and serve as a key point of contact between staff, management, and venue representatives.
Responsibilities: Supervise and direct event staff and Event Supervisors. Conduct pre-event meetings and communicate assignments and expectations. Monitor staff performance, coverage, and professionalism. Assist with guest entry, crowd management, and event operations. Monitor access points and assist with security screening procedures. Respond to guest, staffing, safety, and security concerns. Coordinate with venue management, law enforcement, and emergency personnel when necessary. Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the event. Complete incident reports and required event documentation. Help ensure compliance with Toyota Center and BEST policies and procedures. Provide leadership during emergencies and unexpected situations.
Qualifications: Previous supervisory or management experience required. Event, sports, entertainment, hospitality, or security experience preferred. NBA, arena, stadium, or concert experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Must be available evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must pass required background and drug screening. Valid Level 2 security license or ability to obtain one.
