Coding Specialist (Medical Coder) Job at Mpower Health in San Antonio

Compensation: Based on experience: Low Range: Entry-level experience with foundational skills. Mid Range: Solid experience with demonstrated proficiency. High Range: Extensive experience with a proven track record of success. Pay will be evaluated based on experience, skills, and qualifications during the hiring process.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid Role! The first 90 days will be in-office for training. After that, enjoy a flexible schedule with 3 days in the office & 2 days remote per week!

What You'll Be Doing: Accurately review, code, and input diagnoses & procedures using ICD-10 and procedure codes Ensure coding compliance across multiple medical specialties Collaborate with billing teams to facilitate timely payments Analyze and resolve insurance denials related to coding issues Conduct audits & coding reviews to maintain the highest standards Provide expert guidance to leadership and staff on coding best practices Stay updated on industry regulations to ensure compliance Work in a high-volume coding & collections environment while maintaining quality
