Apply for this role →About us:
Esfering is a Spanish photography company. We run guest portrait sessions at high-end weddings andcorporate events — a photographer directs each guest through a short session with studio lighting, and theprint is handed over on the spot. We have been doing this in Spain since 2011, across seven locations, for clients including Volkswagen, Hearstand Vogue Fashion Night Out. Miami is our first market outside Spain. We have the company set up, theequipment ready to ship, and insurance in place. What we do not have yet is the person who runs it here. The job Two parts, and we will be straight about both. Running events. You collect the equipment, drive it to the venue, set it up, operate the session with guests, hand them their prints, and break it down at the end of the night. We train you on all of it. You are notexpected to be a photographer. Representing us in Miami. Meeting wedding planners, venue event directors and production agencies. Presenting what we do. Building the relationships that get us onto preferred vendor lists. This part starts inJanuary, once you have run a few events and know the service from the inside. What it pays
- $30/hour for events, with a guaranteed 8-hour minimum per event. That is $240 minimum whether thejob takes six hours or ten.
- $300/month for the commercial side, against a monthly market report.
- 6% commission on bookings you bring in, 8% if you handle it through to signature. Our events start at$2,450, so that is $147 to $196 per booking.
- Travel, accommodation and per diem covered when an event requires them.
- Equipment, consumables and insurance are on us. You invest nothing. What we are not going to pretend This starts small. We expect 15 to 20 events in the first year, mostly weekends. In year one this is a sideincome, not a salary. If you need full-time hours right now, this is not it. The setup is physical. The case weighs around 300 lbs on a pallet. You will be moving it, assembling it inabout 90 minutes, and breaking it down in 45 at two in the morning, in a suit, without marking the venue'sfloors. It is not heavy lifting all night, but it is not light work either. And you would be the first person we hire here. There is no local team to lean on. There is us, on the otherend of a phone, six hours ahead. What is in it for the right person You would be building a market, not joining one. We review terms at six months, and as volume grows sodoes the retainer and the scope. If Miami works, the person who built it runs it. You also get real training. Not a handbook — four days in person with the founder in November, paid, pluslive remote support from our team during every event you run. What you need
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We cannot sponsor visas, now or later.
- Your own vehicle, able to carry a case roughly 32 x 47 x 32 inches.
- Weekend availability. Weddings are Saturday nights.
- Availability for paid in-person training in Miami, November 4–6, 2026.
- Experience in hospitality, events, catering, concierge or front-of-house service. Luxury or five-starbackground is a plus, not a requirement.
- Comfortable in a dark suit and tie, and comfortable talking to guests who did not ask to bephotographed.
- English and Spanish. Both get used here.
- Willing to work as a 1099 independent contractor. You are free to keep other clients — we do not ask forexclusivity.
How to apply: Send your resume to info@esfering.com with a short note answering three things:
- Are you authorized to work in the U.S. permanently, with no sponsorship needed?
- Do you have a vehicle?
- Tell us about one event where something went wrong on setup and what you did. We read every one. If it is a fit, we will set up a video call within the week.
