Role Description:
The Group Fitness Instructor is a part-time, on-site role based in Englewood, NJ. This role involves planning and leading high-energy, small-group strength and conditioning sessions that align with ISI® Elite Training programming and standards. The instructor will coach participants through safe, effective functional movements, provide modifications for different fitness levels, and maintain a motivating and inclusive atmosphere. Day-to-day responsibilities include demonstrating exercises, correcting form, managing session flow and timing, and ensuring equipment is set up and stored properly. The instructor will also greet members, support retention efforts, reinforce core values, and collaborate with the team to deliver a consistent, high-quality training experience.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess skills in Group Exercise leadership and facilitating high-energy team-based workouts. Candidates should possess skills in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training, including cueing, form correction, and safe exercise progression. Candidates should possess skills in Customer Service and member engagement to create a welcoming, motivating studio environment. Candidates should possess knowledge of the Fitness Industry, current training trends, and basic exercise science principles. Nationally recognized fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, AFAA) or equivalent is preferred. CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain prior to start date is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to coach diverse fitness levels in a group setting are essential. Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
