Supervisory IT Specialist (SYSADM)

Duties: Manages and directs 24/7 monitoring and operations to ensure adherence to established service levels for mainframe or open systems data storage, hardware, software, imaging systems and workflow applications. Provides expert technical reference and input to senior management on technology, monitoring systems or procedures for mainframe and open systems data storage, hardware, software, imaging systems, workflow applications, IT operations and management. Develops and manages reporting systems for configuration, capacity planning, utilization and performance for mainframe or open systems data storage, hardware, software, imaging systems, workflow applications, printing and IT operations management. Directs the integration of new technologies into SSA's information technology infrastructure for mainframe or open systems data storage, hardware, software, imaging systems, workflow applications, printing and IT operations management. Plans, organizes and provides direction to technical specialists and teams of technical specialists providing mission critical business services to virtually all employees of the Social Security Administration. Directs the development and implementation of appropriate standards including, but not limited to, network, architectural and security standards for the systems supported.
