Apply for this role →The ideal candidate will have 5+ years estimating experience for a homebuilder and will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. In-depth knowledge o residential construction estimating practices, materials, and processes.
Responsibilities:
Review architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work to develop detailed, accurate cost estimates for homebuilding projects. Communicate estimate assumptions, risks, and variances clearly to internal stakeholders. Ensure all estimates meet company quality standards and are delivered within agreed project timelines Utilize AI as a tool to enhance your work, while remaining open to learning, applying critical thinking, and owning the quality of your final work Validate, correct, and refine AI-generated estimates against plans, historical cost data, and current market pricing. Identify recurring errors or gaps in AI estimate outputs and provide structured feedback to improve model accuracy over time. Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans 1 - 3 years' of construction experience preferred
