physician with office surgical and non-surgical procedures and arranging required instruments for procedures prior to scheduled appointment. Assists with answering phones, making appointments, filing, prior authorizations, etc. Coordinates and manages clinic inventory. Contacts pharmacy when appropriate for refills following established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Essential Qualifications High School or GED Equivalent Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Certified Ophthalmic Assistant - International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) Certified Ophthalmic Technician - International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) - International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) Experience in Medical Office setting Expectations and Standards Commitment to the daily application of Avera's mission, vision, core values, and social principles to serve patients, their families, and our community.
