The role requires managing pediatric hematology oncology patients, including those undergoing blood cell transplantation and treatment for conditions such as leukemia and lymphoma.
Job Overview
Shift:
Nights, 3×12 (three 12-hour shifts per week), must work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year'sContract Duration: 13 weeks About the Unit38 beds in the Hematology Inpatient unit Common conditions include neuroblastoma, anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, hemophilia, ITP, and sickle cell anemia Central line management, IV therapy, and sedation procedures are performed Utilizes Epic for charting Opportunities for post-operative care and administration of chemotherapeutic agents
Requirements:
CA RN license 2 years of pediatric hematology oncology experience with central line management experienceAPHON certificationBLS (AHA) certificationPALS (AHA) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
EPIC experience highly preferred; candidates without EPIC experience but with strong inpatient Hem/Onc background will be consideredBMT experience preferred
