The Company:
Summit Sales & Marketing is looking for an experienced eCommerce leader to join our team and help lead the next phase of our growth. This isn't a traditional brokerage eCommerce role. Summit was built by former senior CPG operators who spent decades leading large Walmart and Sam's Club businesses. We intentionally work with a limited number of clients so we can become deeply involved in their businesses, from strategy through execution. We're looking for someone who brings that same operator mentality to eCommerce. What You'll Own You'll lead Summit's eCommerce capabilities across our client portfolio, with a significant focus on Walmart, including: Walmart.com strategy and day-to-day execution Walmart Marketplace and DSVWalmart Connect / PPC strategy, optimization and performance Digital shelf management and optimization Item setup, content, SEO and product page performance Retail Link and eCommerce data analysis Online sales, inventory, in-stock and operational performance Ratings, reviews and competitive monitoring Client reporting, insights and executive-level recommendations Integration of eCommerce with brick-and-mortar sales strategy Identifying opportunities and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations for clients This is a hands-on leadership role. We're not looking for someone who simply produces reports or manages an agency. We want someone who understands the business well enough to look at the data, identify what's happening, explain why it matters, and determine what we should do next. Who We're Looking For The right person will likely have significant experience working within the Walmart ecosystem, either for Walmart, a supplier, an agency/brokerage, or another organization deeply involved in Walmart eCommerce. More importantly, we're looking for someone who: Has deep knowledge of Walmart.com and the Walmart eCommerce ecosystem Understands Walmart Marketplace and DSVHas experience with Walmart Connect and retail media Understands digital shelf fundamentals including content, search, ratings/reviews and conversion Is highly comfortable working with Retail Link and eCommerce performance data Can move comfortably between strategy and execution Understands how online and brick-and-mortar businesses work together Can turn large amounts of data into simple, actionable business recommendations Can communicate effectively with senior client leadership Is comfortable getting into item-level details when necessary Takes ownership and doesn't need a large organization around them to get things done Northwest Arkansas experience and established Walmart relationships are a significant plus. Why Summit? We're a small, experienced and entrepreneurial team. That means this role will have real influence. You'll work directly with Summit's managing partners and our clients and have the opportunity to shape and lead our eCommerce practice as Summit continues to grow. We're intentionally building something different from the traditional brokerage model: Fewer clients. Deeper investment. More accountability. If you're an experienced Walmart eCommerce operator who wants the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on both clients and a growing company, we'd like to talk. If this sounds like you — or someone you know — please reach out directly.
