Director Pharmacy Services

Key Responsibilities: Oversee business operations for specialty pharmacy services. Develop, implement, and continuously enhance specialty pharmacy operations that support patient safety, adherence, and optimal outcomes. Lead performance improvement and cost optimization initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Standardize and optimize policies, procedures, and workflows. Oversee retail pharmacy billing processes in outpatient specialty pharmacy where applicable. Ensure effective pharmacy integration and support within interdisciplinary care teams. Develop and maintain evidence-based medication use policies and guidelines, promoting safety, efficacy, and financial stewardship. Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision for clinical and operational specialty pharmacy staff. Recruit, train, mentor, and retain pharmacy staff. Manage staff performance, attendance, and development through regular feedback and evaluations. Ensure effective workload distribution, job training, and continuous improvement. Support the interpretation and implementation of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications: BS in Pharmacy with a relevant Master’s or Doctoral degree (e.g., MS, MBA, MPH, or PharmD) Minimum 3 years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Residency program Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role (Director, Assistant Director, or Pharmacy Management position) Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
