Company Background: CNSide Diagnostics, a Cerenome company, is focused on advancing the diagnosis and management of cancers involving the central nervous system. Through CNSide®, our proprietary cerebrospinal fluid-based diagnostic platform, we provide clinicians with molecular and cellular insights designed to help inform clinical decision-making for patients with CNS disease. CNSide is part of Cerenome (Nasdaq: CNSY), a clinical-stage central nervous system (CNS) oncology company bringing together advanced diagnostics, targeted radiotherapeutics, and data analytics to address some of the most difficult challenges in neuro-oncology. As CNSide grows, many of the systems, capabilities, and ways of working that will support our next stage are being built now. We see that as an opportunity—and we're looking for people who do, too. Role: We are looking for a Director, Commercial Sales Training & Enablement to build the learning and enablement foundation required for our growing commercial organization. As we expand our field team, this role will help ensure our people enter the field prepared to represent CNSide, our science, and our solutions consistently and effectively. This is a builder role. You'll work closely with our Vice President, Commercial Sales and partners across Marketing, Medical/Scientific, Sales Operations, and other functions to develop our commercial training and enablement approach from the ground up—starting with new-hire onboarding, field readiness, and the curriculum and tools our commercial team needs to succeed. We're looking for someone who understands sales because you've been close to it—and who also knows how to build the systems that make salespeople better. You'll need to be comfortable developing strategy, creating content and tools, facilitating learning, coaching in the field, and continuously improving the approach as the organization grows. As CNSide's commercial organization grows, this role is expected to evolve and may eventually include responsibility for building and leading a Commercial Sales Training & Enablement team.
Responsibilities: Build a structured commercial onboarding and field-readiness program that prepares new hires to enter the field with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. Establish practical readiness expectations, assessments, and phased development opportunities that extend beyond initial onboarding. Develop commercial curricula, playbooks, training resources, and field tools that translate CNSide's science, technology, customer journey, commercial processes, and selling approach into practical learning experiences. Build resources that strengthen product and clinical knowledge, customer engagement, account planning, objection handling, and effective field execution. Partner with Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Medical/Scientific, Sales Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure the field understands and consistently communicates CNSide's approved messaging, clinical information, value proposition, and competitive differentiation. Establish ongoing coaching, reinforcement, and development practices that strengthen field execution over time. Use field observations, leadership feedback, business needs, and performance information to identify capability gaps and provide targeted development support. Develop practical measures of new-hire readiness, time-to-productivity, knowledge retention, field adoption, and training effectiveness. Partner with Sales Operations and Commercial Leadership to connect training and capability development with relevant commercial performance indicators. Establish the tools, processes, content governance, and learning infrastructure needed to support a growing commercial organization. Continuously evaluate and improve the commercial training and enablement approach as the organization, field team, and business needs evolve.
Qualifications: Significant experience in commercial sales training, sales enablement, commercial capability development, or a closely related discipline, ideally within diagnostics, biopharma, laboratory services, life sciences, healthcare, or another complex commercial environment. Demonstrated experience building commercial training and enablement programs, not simply delivering established programs. Experience personally designing or substantially building sales onboarding, training, enablement, or field-readiness programs. Meaningful sales or customer-facing commercial experience and a strong understanding of how field teams operate. Ability to translate complex scientific, clinical, or technical information into clear, practical, and commercially useful learning. Experience developing sales curricula, playbooks, training resources, readiness assessments, and ongoing reinforcement programs. Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the credibility to work effectively with both new hires and experienced commercial professionals. Experience partnering with Marketing, Medical/Scientific, Sales Operations, and Commercial Leadership to create consistent field messaging and execution. Ability to use field feedback, performance information, and other data to identify capability gaps and improve training effectiveness. Strong judgment and communication skills, including the ability to make complex information understandable without losing its accuracy or meaning. Experience in oncology, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, laboratory services, or another scientifically complex healthcare environment is highly valued. Experience supporting the commercialization or launch of a new product or emerging technology is preferred. Experience building sales training or enablement capabilities during significant organizational growth is preferred. Experience working with structured sales methodologies is preferred. Experience using CRM, learning management, or sales enablement platforms is preferred. Experience developing training for field organizations operating across large geographic territories is preferred. Experience coaching sales leaders or building broader commercial capability programs is also valuable. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Requirements: Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels in a growing organization. Ability to independently design, build, facilitate, and continuously improve commercial training and enablement programs. Strong facilitation, coaching, organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment. Ability to travel approximately 25–30%, based on business needs. Position Details:
