Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for clients, developing tailored counseling strategies that address their specific needs. Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a personalized approach to mental health care. Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy, to suit the unique circumstances of each client. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement integrated care plans, ensuring a holistic approach to client health. Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in client documentation. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions, remaining abreast of emerging trends and research within the mental health field. Patient Population / Client FocusOur clientele consists of individuals and families from diverse backgrounds who may experience varying levels of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, addictions, and relationship issues. Our focus is on providing compassionate care to those typically underserved or unable to access traditional mental health services.
Qualifications:
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
Candidates must possess active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience is essential, ideally within a clinical environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic techniques for family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse recovery, or trauma-informed care is preferred.
Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling practices plus excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to effectively collaborate within a healthcare team is necessary for delivering comprehensive client care.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software is required for maintaining clinical documentation efficiently.
Preferred Experience:
