Physical Therapist Assistant

Amergis is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists across school, home, and facility-based settings. In this role, you will implement treatment plans, guide therapeutic exercises, document patient progress, and help optimize functional mobility for diverse populations. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, uphold strict clinical and compliance standards, and educate patients and families. Implement PT treatment plans under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and mobility training. Monitor, record, and report patient response and progress in EMR systems. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety. Maintain strict adherence to clinical, safety, and compliance standards. Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and school or facility staff to coordinate care. Assist with adaptive equipment fitting, use, and patient positioning. Support care across school, home, and facility-based environments as assigned.
