Accounting Specialist (A/P and A/R focus) Westchester, IL Hybrid schedule Direct Hire $65-70K yearly🚀 Ready to Make an Impact in a Growing, Employee-Owned Company? Sterling is looking for an experienced AR/AP Specialist to join our team! 💼 What You’ll Do:
  • Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
  • Process customer invoices, vendor invoices, payments, and account adjustments
  • Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections
  • Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate customer and vendor records
  • Support Positive Pay, 1099 reporting, and banking activities
  • Assist with payroll backup, timesheet processing, and new hire reporting
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close activities
  • Support accounting and operational projects as needed⭐ What We’re Looking For3–5 years of AR, AP, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and high transaction volumes
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
