Apply for this role (opens in a new tab)Senior Accountant PrideStaff Financial on behalf of a client is looking for an experience and professional Senior Accountant who can manage full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end and year-end closings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, cash flow statements and forecasts
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and systems
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations
- Assist in budgeting, job costing and forecasting activities
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Prepare and file various tax returns and reports
- Implement and maintain accounting software and systems
- Conduct financial analysis for special projects and initiatives
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university is a MUST5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
