Research & Development (R&D) Technician - Food Production

Wise Staffing Group is currently hiring a Research & Development Technician for a food manufacturing client in the Jackson/Pearl, MS area. We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable individual to assist with the development, testing, and evaluation of food products. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience or education in food science, food manufacturing, quality, laboratory work, or a related field. Position Details Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday Start Time: 8:00 AM Shift: 9-hour shifts Job Type: Full-time Location: Pearl, MS Responsibilities Assist with the development and testing of new and existing food products Prepare and test product samples according to established procedures Measure and record ingredients accurately Maintain accurate records of test results, product specifications, and observations Assist with product trials and production testing Monitor product quality, consistency, and appearance Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate findings and concerns to the R&D and production teams Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in food manufacturing, food science, quality assurance, laboratory work, or a related field preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow written procedures and instructions Basic math and measurement skills Ability to accurately weigh and measure ingredients Comfortable working with food products and in a manufacturing environment Good written and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field Previous R&D or product development experience Experience with food production, quality control, or laboratory testing Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Why Apply?
