Production Line Mechanic

Responsibilities: Troubleshoot production line issues to ensure optimal performance, minimizing downtime and defects. This includes ensuring print quality, weld integrity, fill volume accuracy, and proper packaging. Perform changeovers on production lines to accommodate new order specifications, including size changes, printing, and liquid fill equipment adjustments. Disassemble, reassemble, clean, and prepare factory equipment according to maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance plans. Conduct quality checks on production output to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and internal quality standards. Complete forms required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Checklists, and Troubleshooting Logs accurately and in a timely manner. Preventative Maintenance on all equipment. Attend scheduled team meetings. Assist with the startup of assigned machines. Inventory monitoring. Installation of new parts as distributed by the production manager, label and return removed parts. Assemble, disassemble, and clean pumps and maintain an organized storage area.

Qualifications: Relevant experience in manufacturing is preferred, but recent graduates of technical college or higher institutions with degrees in engineering or mechanical engineering are encouraged to apply. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Knowledge of the 5-S system and experience with LEAN manufacturing principles are helpful. Strong understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ability to follow Quality Management System protocols. Dependability, punctuality, and a team-focused attitude are essential. English fluency is required. Bi-lingual English and Spanish is helpful.
