About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to joinour team and take ownership of our day-to-day import and logistics activities. This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage the full import process from Italy to the U.S., coordinate multiple vendors and transportation partners, maintain accurate inventory and system information, and provide excellent, proactive customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solution-driven, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work independently in Net Suite with minimal training.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage the end-to-end import process, from vendorcoordination through delivery. Book and coordinate containers with multiple suppliers/vendors. Coordinate ocean freight, trucking, warehouse deliveries, and transportationappointments. Communicate with Italian vendors, freight forwarders, customs brokers, truckingcompanies, warehouses, and customers. Monitor shipments from booking through final delivery and proactively identifyand resolve delays, discrepancies, and other logistics issues. Review and maintain import and shipping documentation, including commercialinvoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipment-related documents. Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to support timelycustoms clearance and delivery. Coordinate trucking appointments and closely follow container pickups, deliveries, and empty returns. Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including inbound shipments, receipts, product availability, and inventory discrepancies. Enter and maintain accurate information in Net Suite, including purchase orders, shipments, inventory, and related logistics information. Update customer and client platforms as required. Provide customers with timely and proactive updates regarding orders, shipments, ETAs, and potential delays. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues with a strong focus on serviceand follow-through. Review shipping and inventory information for accuracy and identifydiscrepancies. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and ontime. Maintain organized documentation related to imports, shipments, inventory, anddeliveries. Support continuous improvement of logistics and order management processes.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of experience in logistics, import/export, supply chain, freightforwarding, or order fulfillment. Demonstrated experience managing international imports, preferably from Italyor Europe. Strong understanding of ocean freight, container bookings, trucking, and deliverycoordination. Familiarity with import and shipping documentation, including commercialinvoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Experience working directly with vendors, freight forwarders, trucking companies, warehouses, and customers. Net Suite experience is strongly preferred; the ability to navigate and use ERPsystems with minimal training is important. Strong inventory management and order management skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple shipments and deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issuesbefore they become problems. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can changequickly. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
What Success Looks Like:
The successful candidate will become a reliable point person for our day-to-day importand logistics activities. You will be expected to own your shipments, stay ahead ofdeadlines, keep systems accurate, communicate proactively, and ensure thatcustomers and internal teams always know the status of their orders.
