Retail Sales Associate – Convenience Store

Greet and assist customers, ensuring a friendly, efficient, and positive shopping experience Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system accurately, processing cash, credit, and mobile payments Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment, including sales floor, restrooms, and exterior areas Stock shelves, coolers, and displays, rotating products to ensure freshness and accurate pricing Support fresh food preparation and handling in accordance with company standards and food safety guidelines Monitor fuel pumps and the forecourt area for safety, cleanliness, and customer needs Respond to customer questions about products, promotions, and store services, resolving issues promptly Follow all company policies related to cash handling, loss prevention, age-restricted sales, and safety Collaborate with team members and shift leaders to meet daily store performance and customer service goals Assist with basic inventory counts and reporting low stock or out-of-stock items to management Point-of-sale (POS) operation Cash handling and reconciliation Inventory stocking and rotation Basic food handling and safety Customer service and conflict resolution Merchandising and product display Fuel pump and forecourt monitoring Basic math skills Cleaning and sanitation procedures Upselling and suggestive selling Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Food Handler or Food Safety certification (preferred, may be required in some locations) Previous POS or cash-handling experience (preferred) Ability to meet any local requirements for selling age-restricted products (e.g., tobacco, lottery)
