Acute Inpatient Rehab Therapy Supervisor

Encompass Health seeks an Acute Rehab Therapy Supervisor to lead and coordinate therapy services within our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will supervise PT, OT, and speech therapy staff, ensure evidence-based, patient-centered rehab plans, monitor clinical outcomes, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. You’ll oversee scheduling, staff development, quality and compliance, and documentation standards while supporting a nurturing, dynamic environment. Supervise daily operations of acute rehab therapy services (PT, OT, SLP). Develop, review, and adjust individualized, evidence-based rehab treatment plans. Coordinate interdisciplinary care with nursing, physicians, and case management. Mentor, train, and evaluate therapy staff performance and competencies. Manage staff scheduling and workload to ensure safe and efficient coverage. Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and implement performance improvements. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and documentation standards. Support safe patient handling, mobility, and rehab best practices. Collaborate on discharge planning and continuity of care with post-acute providers. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional development initiatives. Certification in a rehab specialty (e.g., NCS, OCS, GCS, LSVT) preferred.
