Sub Bus Driver and Route Bus Driver

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent CDL preferred, but not required, willing to train

Essential Job Functions: Safely transporting students: Driving a school bus and ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school, field trips, and other activities. Following traffic laws: Adhering strictly to traffic laws and school bus regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users. Vehicle maintenance: Conducting routine inspections and maintenance checks on the bus to ensure it is safe and in good working condition. Emergency procedures: Knowing and implementing emergency procedures in case of accidents, breakdowns, or other emergencies. Communication: Maintaining effective communication with students, parents, school staff, and transportation authorities. Monitoring students: Ensuring that students behave appropriately and safely while on the bus, maintaining discipline when necessary. Route familiarity: Being familiar with the assigned route and ensuring timely arrival and departure from stops. Paperwork and documentation: Completing required paperwork, such as daily logs, incident reports, and mileage records. Training and development: Participating in ongoing training and development programs related to driving skills, safety procedures, and student management.
