Description: American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Med/Surg Post-Op Rehab unit requiring 18 months of experience and a GA or compact RN license in hand. Details Med/Surg unit specializing in Post-Op Rehab with strong Ortho/Surgical patient populationNOC shift, 3x12s, 36 hours per week No on-call requirements Required to float to other departments across facilities, including Perry Hospital, on a department-based rotation Uses Meditech charting system Performs IV insertion and PICC line care Requires tele interpretation skills
Requirements:
  • Active GA or Compact RN license in handBLS (AHA) certification required to start
  • Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with IV insertion, PICC lines, and telemetry interpretation
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information:
  • Provide nursing care for Ortho/Surgical patients recovering in a Post-Op Rehab setting
  • Floating is required to other departments and facilities as needed, with rotations monitored by department
  • Former Emory or Houston Perm staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facilityRTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, and 3 days if it does
  • Only one holiday request for time off is permitted
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
