Back End Developer

Job Description: The Personalization (PZN) team makes deciding what to play next on easier and more enjoyable for every listener. We seek to understand the world of music, podcasts and audiobooks better than anyone else so that we can make great recommendations to every individual and keep the world listening. Every day, hundreds of millions of people all over the world use the products we build which include destinations like Home and Search as well as original playlists such as Made For You, Discover Weekly and Daily Mix. The Turn Table team’s mission is to own and innovate on the AI DJ interactive listening experience and integrate it into the agentic world. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team to build and improve our storytelling capabilities.

What You’ll Do: Design, build, evaluate, and ship LLM based solutions that provides an interactive DJ experience and a Just Press to Play experience for Talk Collaborate with cross functional teams spanning user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering to build new product features that advance our mission to connect artists and fans in personalized and useful ways Be a technical leader and valued contributor in an autonomous, cross-functional agile team Be a leader of the wide backend developer community affecting and driving our architecture across the company

Who You Are: You have experience working directly with stakeholders to understand, document and develop APIs and systems to meet their requirements, driving increased adoption and reducing reliance on custom one-off implementations You have experience working with LLMs or Machine Learning Systems You have experience writing distributed, high-volume services and know how to deploy and keep them running in production You love working in an environment where you constantly experiment and iterate quickly You have a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms Hard Skills - Backend engineering, LLM or machine learning systems experience, and expertise in building distributed, high-volume services Soft Skills - Stakeholder communication, structured presentation skills, and problem-solving abilities Avenue Code reinforces its commitment to privacy and to all the principles guaranteed by the most accurate global data protection laws, such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA and CPRA.
