AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America.
THE POSITION:
AGCEA has an excellent opportunity for a Forming Operator 1 on our Day Shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM). Persons in this role work in a manufacturing environment to mix raw materials to create slurry mixtures, assemble/disassemble plaster molds, and form SiC (Silicon Carbide) products to drawing specifications. Successful candidates will have the ability to properly operate vacuum mixers and utilize lab equipment to measure slurry conditions. The ability to safely utilize hoist, forklift and lift platform to set up and align gravity-fed molds is key to this role. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows Manufacturing Functional Procedures to form SiC products Collects, measures, and mixes raw materials according to specified formulas to create a slurry mixture Operates vacuum mixers and associated systems using control panel buttons, switches, and gauges Measures slurry conditions using lab equipment such as a pH meter, viscosity meter, thermometer, graduated cylinder, scale, and infrared drying scale Assembles and disassembles plaster molds using straps, braces, and torque wrenches Monitors in-process product to perform specific tasks during the forming, drying, and part removal processes QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE A High School diploma or GEDBasic computer skills Willingness to learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks Ability to interpret blueprints Ability to follow detailed instructions Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively Proven ability to work individually and in a team-oriented environment Ability to work/wear protective equipment (PPE) and proper apparel when on the manufacturing floor AGCEA is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer Compensation details: 19.5-23.98 Hourly WagePIfc 10eb 1f 0adf-7767
