Payments, Banking or Financial Services industriesi2c is seeking a seasoned product marketer who thrives when the path is not fully paved. This role is for a builder and a doer: someone who can move from insight to strategy to finished work, establish the foundational go-to-market discipline, and create the product marketing suite of materials that Sales, Product, Client Success and Marketing need to win. You will shape how i2c positions and brings its debit, credit, prepaid, core banking, money movement, and value-added solutions to market. Success requires equal parts strategic thinking, hands-on execution, commercial instinct, curiosity and cross-functional influence. You must be comfortable creating the first draft, pressure-testing it with stakeholders, refining it quickly and owning the finished product. THIS IS A HANDS-ON INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR ROLEYou will not inherit or manage a product marketing team. You will personally build the discipline, operating rhythm, relationships and core deliverables that enable i2c to bring its solutions to market with greater clarity, consistency and commercial impact.
Job Description: What you will build and own1. Foundational product marketing discipline:
- Create and operationalize a practical product marketing framework, including intake, prioritization, launch tiers, stakeholder roles, review cycles and measures of success.
- Establish repeatable go-to-market planning for new products, capabilities, enhancements and priority solutions.
- Build a clear source of truth for audiences, buyer needs, use cases, value propositions, positioning, messaging, proof points and competitive differentiation.
- Develop an operating cadence that connects Product roadmaps and market priorities with Marketing plans and revenue-team needs.2. Go-to-market strategy and execution:
- Personally develop end-to-end GTM plans that define the audience, problem, value proposition, market narrative, launch strategy, channels, enablement needs, dependencies and success metrics.
- Translate product capabilities into differentiated business value for financial institutions and other priority audiences.
- Partner with functional Marketing leaders to integrate product narratives into demand generation, brand, communications, digital, content, events and account-based programs.
- Monitor performance and market feedback, then adjust messaging, priorities and activation plans based on evidence.3. Product marketing suite of materials:
- Write and produce high-quality core messaging documents, solution briefs, pitch decks, sales plays, battlecards, competitive guides, FAQs, launch kits, web copy, case studies, scripts and internal training materials.
- Create modular, reusable content that gives Sales and Client Success the right story for different buyers, use cases and stages of the customer journey.
- Ensure product claims, proof points and positioning are accurate, differentiated and consistent across market-facing and client-facing touchpoints.
- Maintain and improve the portfolio of materials so teams can find, trust and use current content.4. Cross-functional partnership and influence:
- Build trusted working relationships with Sales, Product, Client Success and functional Marketing teams.
- Listen closely to client, prospect and field feedback, identify patterns and translate them into sharper messaging, content and GTM decisions.
- Facilitate productive working sessions that align stakeholders and turn differing perspectives into clear decisions and deliverables.
- Equip revenue and client-facing teams to tell a consistent, compelling story through briefings, training and practical enablement.5. Market, buyer and competitive intelligence
- Develop a strong understanding of priority buyers, their business challenges, decision criteria and buying journeys.
- Continuously assess competitors, category shifts, industry trends and client needs across issuing, banking and payments.
- Turn intelligence into actionable recommendations, differentiated narratives, competitive tools and market-facing content.
- Use qualitative and quantitative insight to identify gaps, prioritize work and measure impact.
What success looks like:
A repeatable product marketing and GTM discipline is in place and actively used across priority initiatives.
Sales, Product, Client Success and Marketing have stronger alignment, clearer roles and a dependable operating cadence.
Revenue teams have a complete, current and usable suite of product marketing and sales enablement materials.i2c’s solutions are communicated with greater clarity, consistency and differentiation across channels and customer touchpoints.
GTM work moves from concept to market with urgency, accountability and measurable outcomes.
What we are Looking For:
- 10+ years of hands-on, end-to-end product marketing experience in fintech, payments, banking technology, BaaS or a similarly complex B2B technology environment.
- Demonstrated success building product marketing practices, GTM programs and enablement assets, not only directing others to create them.
- Deep knowledge of issuer-side payments, including debit, credit and prepaid, plus familiarity with core banking and money movement.
- Experience marketing to banks, credit unions and other financial institutions, with an understanding of their buyers, priorities and decision processes.
- Exceptional ability to simplify complex products and technical capabilities into persuasive, differentiated value propositions and stories.
- Strong writing and visual storytelling skills, with a portfolio of polished, commercially useful product marketing work.
- Commercial orientation and credibility with Sales, Product and Client Success stakeholders.
- Analytical judgment and comfort using market insight, business metrics and feedback to guide decisions.
- Strong project management, prioritization and follow-through across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, analytics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- How you work
- Builder mindset: You create structure where little exists and improve it as the business learns.
- Doer mentality: You roll up your sleeves, write the brief, build the deck, develop the battlecard and drive the work to completion.
- Self-starter: You identify what is needed, bring forward a recommendation and move with limited oversight.
- Cross-functional influencer: You build trust and alignment without relying on direct authority.
- Fast and adaptable: You are energized by pace, ambiguity and changing priorities while protecting quality and accuracy.
- Functionally collaborative: You respect functional expertise and know how to connect specialized teams around a shared GTM outcome.
- Accountable: You make commitments visible, communicate progress and own results.
- Why this role matters
- This is an opportunity to create lasting leverage across the business. The foundation you build will help i2c translate innovation into stronger market narratives, equip client-facing teams to sell with confidence and bring banking and payments solutions to market with greater discipline and impact.
