Special Education Teacher - Middle School

Special Education Teacher Grades 5-8 Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other support staff. Provide direct instruction to students using evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated instruction techniques. Assess students' strengths and challenges, use data to inform instructional decisions, and modify teaching approaches as needed. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to student learning and development. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and solicit feedback. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and enhance your skills as an educator.
