Sterile Processing Technician

Technician The Technician, under minimal supervision, is responsible for transporting, decontamination, cleaning processing, storage and distribution, and sterilization of instruments, supplies equipment dispensed by the department following infection control practices. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Responsible for adherence to standards and regulations enforced by The Joint Commission, OSHA, and other government agencies, to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe hospital environment.
