Apply for this role →Working remotely on a part-time basis, the State Tax Senior Analyst will manage state tax compliance processes, including preparing state income tax returns and supporting documentation, while also assisting with quarterly tax provisions and responding to state tax notices.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and support recurring state tax compliance processes, including state income tax returns and workpapers
Assist with quarterly tax provision support and maintain accurate audit-ready documentation
Conduct tax research and develop knowledge of telecommunications taxes and compliance requirements
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience preparing state and local tax returns and supporting compliance processes
Strong Excel skills and ability to manage responsibilities independently
Working knowledge of SALT fundamentals including income and sales/use tax
Preferred experience with Avalara, Ava Tax, Net Suite, or public accounting environments
