Operating Room Nurse

Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to patients before and during surgical procedures. Prepare operating rooms, patients, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and other clinical professionals throughout procedures. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety protocols. Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to clinical changes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure efficient patient care. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey. Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and surgical procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary surgical environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical assessment skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in gynecological (GYN) surgical procedures. Previous experience in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery center. Multispecialty surgical nursing experience.
