Position: Fab Shop Associate (General Labor / Material Handler)

Position Summary: Magellan Corporation is seeking a dependable and hardworking Fab Shop Associate (General Labor / Material Handler) to support daily operations in our fabrication shop and warehouse. This position will assist with material handling, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, tagging materials, and other general shop and warehouse duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a forklift, be comfortable working in a fabrication shop environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and maintaining an organized workplace.

Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload trucks and assist with the movement of materials throughout the shop and warehouse. Receive, inspect, organize, and stage incoming materials. Prepare materials and orders for shipment. Tag and identify materials accurately according to company procedures. Assist with shipping and receiving activities. Move and organize structural steel, grating, and other fabrication materials as directed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist fabricators, welders, and other shop personnel with general labor tasks as needed. Perform general warehouse and fabrication shop duties as assigned. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Follow proper fabrication shop etiquette, including professionalism, respect for coworkers, communication, and adherence to established shop procedures.

Qualifications: Previous experience with forklift operation and material handling preferred. Experience in a warehouse, fabrication shop, industrial, or manufacturing environment is a plus. Ability to safely load, unload, move, and organize materials. Basic understanding of shipping and receiving procedures. Ability to accurately tag and identify materials. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be safety-conscious and willing to follow established workplace procedures. Must be willing to perform a variety of general labor duties as needed.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and work in an industrial shop environment. Ability to lift and move materials as required. Ability to safely work around heavy steel, forklifts, fabrication equipment, and other industrial machinery. Ability to work in varying shop and warehouse conditions.
