Some important Installation Technician job duties and responsibilities include: Traveling to residential homes and businesses for service callsConsulting with customers to locate wiring and outlets for cable box, modem and hardwire installationsDetermining if additional electrical assistance is requiredMaintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal operating conditionsDocumenting all tasks performed at each service appointmentCreating customer invoicesProviding written and verbal instructions to customers on how to operate alarm systems, remote controls and other equipmentTesting functionality and performance following system installations
