Job Description: The Orthopaedic Cast Technician provides patient care in the Orthopaedic Clinic under the direction of the orthopaedic surgeon and PA-Cs to educate patients, to adjust, apply, and remove casts, braces, dressings, and splints, and to perform office procedures. The technician may assist with positioning the patient during surgical procedures, and is knowledgeable about instruments, supplies, and equipment used during orthopaedic procedures. Education High school diploma/GEDGraduate of a school for training as orthopaedic technician preferred ExperienceTwo to four years' experience in an orthopaedic setting required Clinical experience as an orthopaedic technician (or a similar position) with emphasis on casting and fitting of braces and splints preferred Experience assisting in operating room under direction of a physician strongly preferred Licensure/CredentialsMA-R or MA-C required Orthopaedic Technologist Certification preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Benefits Information: Click here for information about our benefits.
