Configuration Technician

Responsibilities: Quality check product that is being setup and disassembled Perform repairs on various types of equipment including computers, printers, POS (Point of Sale) equipment, and hand-held mobile scanners Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Drawings, and Schematics)Evaluate and monitor repair processes and techniques and make recommendations for process and equipment changes that lead to gains in productivity and the quality of repairs Basic soldering a plus Independently diagnose, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, facilitate solutions, and resolve complicated repairs Perform test programs and run benchmarks for battery and power measurements Read and follow directions in technical documentation, provided by both internal and external customers Complete and maintain checklists for staging and integration tasks Communicate and follow-through with internal customers to resolve any issues
