Amazon Prime is seeking a Studio Technical Operations Manager who will define the technical architecture, strategy, and scalable mechanisms that enable Sports Tech Ops to deliver across all properties, whether as breadth across many properties or depth in one specialized solution. This role combines technical leadership with program ownership, driving end-to-end production strategy, content delivery, and studio operations with full accountability for outcomes.
You will own the studio production technical roadmap, spanning US, Canada, regional, or global scope depending on the need. You will architect solutions for transmission and signal acquisition that scale horizontally across the sports portfolio while maintaining the flexibility to go deep on specialized, property-specific requirements. You will take ownership of project life cycles from inception to delivery, ensuring stakeholder alignment at every stage.
You will partner across Prime Video Product and Engineering, Technical Integration Management (TIMS), AWS Live Ops, outside vendors and rights partners, global broadcast federations, and senior leaders across Sports and tech organizations. You will define and own best practices to assess risks, anticipate blockers, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance business needs against budget constraints.
You will drive complex projects end-to-end, owning resource allocation, schedules, and milestone delivery while holding teams accountable to commitments. You will write documents and present decisions to leaders three tiers above, author narratives, build consensus, and win alignment across the organization. You will champion innovation on behalf of customers, proactively identifying opportunities to elevate studio production capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a strategic owner who thrives in delivering complex solutions with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. This role requires someone who thinks beyond execution, defining scalable technical frameworks, anticipating challenges before they arise, and driving long-term operational excellence. We are looking for a leader with a strong point of view on studio production evolution, deep technical acumen, and the ability to influence without authority across the organization.
Key job responsibilities Own and operate Amazon Prime Studio Technical Operations across all US sports properties
Define technical architecture and scalable mechanisms that flex between breadth (multi-property delivery) and depth (specialized solutions)
Own the technical roadmap with US, Canada, regional, or global scope as business needs dictate
Lead transmission and signal acquisition architecture strategy and execution
Drive vendor strategy, RFP processes, and market research to inform technology decisions
Lead new technology deployment including facility builds, cloud production, and signal acquisition infrastructure
Drive cross-functional project leadership across workflow analysis, asset management, and operational tooling
Write documents and present decisions to leadership; author narratives that build consensus and win alignment
Drive strategic planning, stakeholder alignment, timelines, and deliverables with full end-to-end ownership
Create and maintain process documentation, technical workflow documentation, and SOP/best practice guides that scale with the organization
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of technical management experience in a studio production environment, working directly with engineering teams
10+ years of experience designing scalable technical architectures or operational frameworks that support multiple concurrent workstreams
Experience building processes, coordinating schedules, and driving accountability and ownership of programs across cross-functional teams
Experience with systems architecture, workflows, and streaming technology or platforms
Experience with vendor management, RFP processes, and technology procurement
Experience influencing senior leadership and navigating complex organizational structures
