Ammonia Refrigeration Technician - Industrial Electrical

Location: Fort Atkinson, WI (100% on-site, no travel)

Schedule: Permanent 2nd shift, Monday to Friday

Pay: $42 to $44 per hour, plus premium overtime Maintain the ammonia refrigeration and electrical systems at a respected food manufacturer, with a stable schedule, no service van, and company-paid RETA certification. Must-Haves 2+ years of hands-on industrial ammonia (NH3) refrigeration maintenance in manufacturing, cold storage, or processing 2+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting, including 3-phase power, motor starters, relays, and power distribution Commitment to a permanent 2nd shift, Monday to Friday Stable work history with strong attendance Must live within 45 minutes of the Fort Atkinson / Greater Madison area U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

What You'll Do: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems, screw compressors, evaporative condensers, and chillers Troubleshoot plant power distribution, 3-phase MCCs, control circuits, and electrical panels Follow and enforce PSM, RMP, and OSHA safety requirements Support mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility maintenance across the plant Record daily system logs, pressures, and temperatures Document work orders in the CMMS Nice-to-Haves RETA CARO or CIRO certification USDA, FDA, or SQF food processing experience PLC and ladder logic troubleshooting

Compensation and Benefits: $42 to $44 per hour Time-and-a-half after 8 hours per day Guaranteed double-time on Sundays 100% company-paid RETA training and testing Comprehensive benefits package
