Apply for this role →Construction Scheduling & Project Controls Expert (Expert Witness Consulting)Part-Time-Remote-$150-$250/hour Structural Forensic Experts is seeking highly qualified Construction Scheduling & Project Controls Experts to assist with complex construction disputes involving schedule delays, productivity losses, disruption, acceleration, and other project impacts. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile litigation and dispute resolution matters as part of an experienced expert witness consulting team. Types of Projects Our experts evaluate projects across a wide range of construction sectors, including: Commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential construction Highways, roadways, airports, and transportation infrastructure Utility construction Water, wastewater, and stormwater systems Bridges and marine structures Public and private capital improvement projects
About the Role:
This is not a traditional project management or scheduling position. Instead, you will analyze completed and ongoing construction projects to determine the cause of schedule impacts, critical path changes, productivity loss, and/or acceleration. Your work will support attorneys, owners, contractors, and other stakeholders in resolving complex construction disputes. Responsibilities may include Reviewing CPM schedules, contract documents, project records, and correspondence Performing forensic schedule and delay analyses Evaluating critical path impacts and productivity losses Conducting project site inspections when necessary Preparing written expert reports Assisting with mediation, arbitration, and litigation Providing deposition and trial testimony when required Preferred Locations We are currently seeking experts located in: North Carolina Virginia Louisiana (New Orleans area)South Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, and Tampa)About Our Firm Our firm provides expert consulting services throughout the United States on matters involving construction delay & disruption, construction defects, professional practice and damages. Our professionals support attorneys, contractors, owners, public agencies and other stakeholders in some of the nation's most challenging construction disputes. Team members are located across the country and generally work remotely from their home offices with occasional travel for site inspections, meetings, depositions, and testimony.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should possess: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline 20+ years of experience in construction scheduling and project controls Extensive experience developing and managing Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 Experience performing forensic schedule analysis, delay analysis, time impact analysis, and productivity assessments Strong technical writing and communication skills Expert witness, deposition, or trial testimony experience is preferred but not required Professional certifications such as PSP, PMI-SP, PMP, PE, or CCM are a plus Compensation This is an independent contractor position. Compensation ranges from $150 to $250 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and project requirements.
