Job PostingPosition: Massage TherapistDepartment: SpaPrimary Responsibilities: Performs various types of localized and full body massages to guestsAdministers various hydrotherapy treatments and exfoliating servicesEnsures The Greenbrier experienceAdheres to policies of the facilityReports any incidents or accidents to the Spa DirectorUnderstands and uses universal precautions when providing servicesAssesses contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking placeMaintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa services presently offeredRecommends products for home use with a minimum service to sales ration of 25%Performs all treatments on services' menu based on current certificationsSuggests to guests other beneficial treatments offered in the spaUnderstands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to the guests. Answers guests' questions in a knowledgeable and professional mannerBegins and ends all treatments on timeWorks assigned scheduleEnsures that work areas are clean and set according to proceduresInforms Spa Director of products needsCreates and maintains client cards with treatment notes, when appropriateCompletes all assigned side workAttends scheduled professional trainingsCleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basisSecondary Responsibilities: Attends Spa/departmental meetings as scheduledCompletes other duties assigned by the Spa DirectorAssists staff with lifting and storing facility equipment, furniture, and products to help maintain facility and prepare for special eventsNormal Working Hours:32-40 hours per week in seasonStaffing by seniority, requires availability on holidays and 7 day a week operation2 scheduled days off for full-time, days vary for part timePast Work Experience Requirements: Previous massage experience preferred with exposure to hydrotherapy and exfoliation servicesAbility to explain various treatments/services to guests as well as the benefits of eachPrevious esthetician experience preferredAbility to lift 25 lbsEducational Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D.Licensed in the state of WVCommunication Skills Requirements: Must be able to express information clearly and communicate in a personable and professional mannerCustomer service experience, preferably in a spaExcellent customer service skills and work ethicExcellent verbal and written skillsPersonable, pleasant and friendly attitudeTechnical Requirements: CPR and Red CrossUse of proper body mechanics when performing servicesRequired Supervision: Reports to Spa Director and Assistant Spa DirectorWillingness to follow suggestions of more senior co-workersSelf motivated and able to assume responsibility to complete assignmentsOther Requirements: Willing to be a team memberWilling to perform cross-gender massagesMust be flexible and willing to perform any service offeredMust be knowledgeable of all services and benefitsMust be comfortable with product recommendationEfficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneouslyEnergetic, enthusiastic and motivationalProfessional manner, discretion, and appearance
