Department Summary:

Position Summary:
Responsible for the strength and conditioning of sports assigned bythe Director of Performance and Sport Science at the University of Oregon. Develop and implement individualized conditioning, strength, speed, and flexibility programs for student-athletes. Demonstrate a commitment to the continual advancement of trainingmethods and professional development within the field. Promote thephilosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, aswell as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, the Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
Special Requirement
This position will require a valid driver's license and the abilityto obtain UO Driver's Certification.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in sport and exercise science, physicaleducation or related field, specializing in physical preparation ofelite athletes.
Current National Strength and Conditioning Associationcertification (CSCS) or SCCC.
Proven experience in strategic planning, implementation, andmonitoring of strength and conditioning to high-performanceathletes.
Three years of full-time experience as a strength andconditioning coach working at the collegiate or professionallevel.
Professional Competencies:
Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in exercise science or related field.
Experience working with sports performance technology to informstrength and conditioning program design.
Experience with rotational and field-based sports within aDivision I, power-4 conference.
