Mattress & Sleep Products Retail Sales Associate

Mattress Warehouse is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional, consultative sales experience in our retail stores. You’ll greet customers, assess their sleep needs, and recommend mattresses, bed frames, and accessories using product training and tools. Responsibilities include demonstrating features, handling POS transactions, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting daily store operations. You’ll work in a performance-driven, team-focused environment with paid training, opportunities to advance into management, and performance-based bonuses, while helping customers improve their quality of sleep and life. Welcome customers and provide a friendly, consultative sales experience Assess customer sleep needs and recommend appropriate mattresses and accessories Demonstrate product features and explain financing or promotional offers Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using POS systems Maintain store appearance, merchandising, and product displays Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and transfers Meet or exceed individual and store sales and performance goals Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic issues or concerns Participate in ongoing product and sales training sessions Support opening, closing, and daily operational procedures as assigned Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Product knowledge – mattresses and sleep products Customer relationship management Upselling and cross-selling Inventory management Store merchandising Basic computer skills Sales reporting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Retail sales training certification (preferred) Customer service certification (preferred)
