1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care facility, requiring 2+ years of PT experience and a TX or compact license. Details Long term care setting within the Physical Therapy unit Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts No weekend requirements No on-call requirements Compact license not accepted for this position
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of PT experience requiredTX state license required (compact license not accepted) License required if applicable
Additional Information:
- Perform patient evaluations including history, systems review, and administration of tests and measures
- Establish individualized treatment plans with patient-centered goals to address identified impairments
- Conduct ongoing reassessments and adjust treatment based on patient response
- Initiate and manage discharge planning from the first visit through treatment completion
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff and students per state law and department policy
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with accreditation and insurance requirements
- Communicate with patients, families, and care team members to optimize care outcomes
- Provide patient and family education based on assessed needs
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested during the assignment
