CERT POLICE OFFICER

Responsibilities include: Responding to calls for service Enforcing local and state laws Conducting criminal and traffic investigations Preparing reports and case files Making arrests Testifying in court as needed Working collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies Officers may also have opportunities to serve in specialized assignments, including Criminal Investigations, K-9, Traffic Enforcement, Narcotics and other specialized units.

Minimum Qualifications: · Current Georgia P.O.S.T. Basic Peace Officer Certification (or ability to obtain certification through reciprocity)· Valid Georgia driver's license or ability to obtain one· High school diploma or GED· Must be a U.S citizen· Ability to successfully pass; a Physical Agility Test (PAT), an extensive background investigation, and all other pre-employment requirements· Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
