Plant Controller - Cost Accounting Manager

Specific Responsibilities: Implement systems and controls utilizing SAP to improve the financial performance of the PlantMeasure, report and present monthly financial results to local management and Corporate ControllingPrepare and analyze manufacturing reports for cost center reporting, benchmark metrics, purchase price variance for raw materials, process order variances, work in process, inventory levels & turns, velocity, shipping costs, returns, obsolete inventory, labor costing, capital assets, etc; make recommendations for corrective actionsDirect and coordinate the annual budget activitiesWork with department managers to develop short and long term financial goals; use SAP and other reporting tools available to measure the performanceTrack plant spending of expenses and investments against the budget, advise management, and recommend appropriate corrective actionImprove inventory accuracy by managing inventory control systems including cycle counts & physical inventories; maintain records to document and explain variancesLiaison with department managers to improve financial performance and gain efficienciesManage all aspects of product costing standards for the outlined factoryConduct periodic reviews of common operations business practices and adopt the best demonstrated practice when possibleQualificationsJob Requirements: Education: BA Degree in AccountingExperience: 5 years minimum in a manufacturing organization; with 2 - 4 years cost accounting, project managementExperience: Management Special requirements/Skills: SAP experienceExcellent computer skills – MS OfficeSuperior analytical and quantitative skillsExcellent interpersonal and presentation skillsAdditional Information$100K + BonusSummaryType: Full-timeFunction: Accounting/AuditingExperience level: DirectorIndustry: Electrical And Electronic Manufacturing
