Assistant Team Leader

Responsibilities: Field Activities Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites. Safety Inventory maintenance and organization of supplies; Calibration and maintenance of field equipment to include keeping accurate records; Promote safety and safety culture; Ensure proper PPE is used on project sites; Assist with company required safety training. Communication Daily communication with technicians, project managers, and general contractors; Collaborate with Team Leaders to support scheduling operations and recruiting to maintain appropriate staff among your team; Assist with management of field staff; Actively mentor and train junior field staff as they grow in their careers; Provide support to project managers and department manager as needed; Attend project meetings as requested; May participate in business development, marketing, and client development. Encourage continued participation in internal and external training programs and certification opportunities provided by organizations such as ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, various State DOTs, WACEL, and others, as appropriate. Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 3+ years of related experience. Must have and be willing to maintain basic certifications. Advanced certifications may be required based on the work performed. Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds. Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing). Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors. Good understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards. Proficient at data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques and results.

Required Qualifications: ": E-5 The expected pay range for this role and location is $30-$37/hour. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
