The Opportunity: As a Neuropsychologist, you will provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations designed to clarify cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, and functional concerns. Your work will help clients, families, schools, healthcare providers, and referring agencies better understand individual strengths and challenges and make informed decisions about care and services.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Conduct clinical interviews, review relevant records, and develop individualized assessment plans based on referral questions. Select and administer appropriate standardized assessment measures. Score, interpret, and integrate findings across cognitive, academic, executive functioning, behavioral, emotional, and socio-emotional domains. Review and integrate relevant collateral information, including medical records, primary care and specialist records, hospital documentation, educational records, and other available sources. Develop thoughtful clinical formulations and translate complex assessment findings into clear, practical recommendations. Prepare high-quality, timely, and clinically sound neuropsychological reports. Provide feedback to clients, families, schools, referral sources, and other stakeholders in a clear, compassionate, and accessible manner. Collaborate with local, state, and federal partners when appropriate to ensure evaluation findings support decisions regarding care, education, accommodations, and services. Participate in interdisciplinary consultation and case collaboration. Support the training, development, and mentoring of clinical staff and trainees as appropriate. Contribute ideas and expertise to program development, clinical innovation, and quality improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For: We are looking for a clinician who combines strong assessment expertise with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to helping clients and families.
Required Qualifications: Ph. D. or Psy. D. in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, or a closely related field from an APA-accredited program. Current, unrestricted Maryland licensure as a psychologist. Specialized training and demonstrated experience in neuropsychological assessment. Strong skills in psychological testing, data interpretation, case conceptualization, and clinical report writing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex clinical information clearly and sensitively to clients, families, and multidisciplinary stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple evaluations and deadlines. Commitment to culturally responsive, ethical, and evidence-informed clinical practice.
