Basketball Referee Casting Call for Los Angeles Production
Job Description: A professional Los Angeles production is casting experienced basketball referees who can bring authentic officiating skills to upcoming on-camera scenes. Central Casting is seeking talent with practical knowledge of basketball rules, official referee signals, positioning, and game procedures. Selected performers should be able to move and react naturally as working officials rather than simply portray the appearance of a referee. Applicants with previous basketball officiating experience are especially suited for this opportunity. Both union and non-union talent are eligible to submit.

Perform standard basketball referee hand signals accurately on camera. React naturally to simulated plays, fouls, violations, and other game situations as directed. Follow blocking, timing, and performance instructions from the production team. Repeat officiating movements consistently across multiple takes. Work professionally with actors, players, fellow officials, and crew members throughout filming.
Requirements: Previous basketball referee experience or strong officiating knowledge required. Must understand basketball rules, violations, fouls, and standard referee procedures. Familiarity with official basketball hand signals is required. Comfortable demonstrating referee movements and calls in front of the camera. Able to take production direction while maintaining realistic officiating behaviour. Union and non-union performers are welcome to apply. Must be available to work in the Los Angeles, California area. Compensation Union: $231 for 8 hours. Non-Union: $149 for 8 hours.
