End Date: Ongoing
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only (No Call)
Shift Schedule:
9-hour shifts, primarily evening/night shifts (4 p.m. - 1 a.m.)Monthly Coverage: 15 shifts per month
Practice Setting: Outpatient and inpatient services with no inpatient rounding required
Location: Near Charles, MO
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Manage 14-18 patients per shift in a fast-paced pediatric emergency department with 13 rooms and 3 hall beds.
Emergency Procedures: Provide trauma care, procedural sedation, airway management, and other emergency procedures.
Outpatient Focus: No inpatient rounding required; focus on pediatric emergency and hospitalist care.
Collaborative Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care for children in a supportive environment.
Requirements:
- Board Certification:
- PEM fellowship-trained physicians preferred.
- Will consider board-certified pediatricians with ED experience (must have trauma, procedural sedation, airway management, and procedural experience).
Certifications:
- PALS required for all providers.
- ATLS required unless PEM trained.
- Licensing: Active Missouri medical license required.
- EMR System: Experience with Epic is preferred.
- Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated at 60-90 days.
