Surgical Access Coordinator, Gastroenterology Responsible for scheduling and coordinating all aspects of patient surgeries. Also responsible for creating and submitting surgical encounters in Soarian for billing. Obtains and verifies all patient demographics and insurance information. Obtains authorization for surgery and works directly with surgeons to ensure procedure and diagnosis codes are accurate for billing. Works closely with supporting departments to ensure surgeries are scheduled and coded properly.
