Guaranteed hours for Travel Contracts- Preferred Booking Agreement for Local Contracts - Weekly Pay- Holiday Pay- Contract Security compared to a contract with an outside agencyMINIMUM EXPERIENCE 2 years in an Acute Care SettingREQUIRED CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE- (RN) license in the state of practice. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in dialysis or nephrology nursing (acute or chronic dialysis experience preferred).- BLS and ACLS certification required - American Heart Association. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)- Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) or Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred.
Qualifications:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for dialysis patients.- Administer hemodialysis treatments in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.- Monitor patients for complications during dialysis treatments and respond promptly to adverse reactions.- Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.- Educate patients and their families on dialysis treatment, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments.- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and dialysis records.- Operate and maintain dialysis machines and related equipment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the dialysis unit.- Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families during treatment.- Stay current with best practices and advancements in nephrology nursing.- Proficiency in operating dialysis machines and understanding of dialysis procedures.- Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.- Excellent patient assessment and clinical skills.- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
