We're hiring part-time Assembly Technicians to help build hydraulic motors and components while supporting our safety, quality, and production goals. Part-time openings are available on 2nd and 3rd shifts, with two weekly schedule options: Monday WednesdayThursdaySaturdayPlease indicate your preferred shift and schedule when applying. Poclain Hydraulics is a global manufacturer of hydrostatic transmission systems. Our Sturtevant team produces hydraulic solutions used across a wide range of industries. What You'll Do:
Assemble hydraulic motors and subcomponents according to drawings, work instructions, and torque specifications.
Install seals, bearings, shafts, and other components using manual, pneumatic, and electric tools.
Perform fastening and press-fit operations with proper control of tools and parts.
Inspect components and assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and quality.
Use measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Record production and inspection results and report nonconforming parts.
Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and support continuous improvement.
What You'll BringAt least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to read, write, and speak English and follow written and verbal instructions.
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
Ability to interpret assembly drawings and understand torque specifications.
Basic math skills, attention to detail, and a focus on quality.
Dependable attendance and a willingness to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of basic hydraulic principles preferred.
This position involves standing and walking throughout the scheduled shift; frequent lifting and handling of components weighing up to 45 pounds; repetitive hand and arm movements; and reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling. Tasks require coordinated use of both hands and sustained control of tools and components.
Work takes place in an industrial manufacturing environment with moving equipment and noise. Required protective equipment includes safety glasses, safety footwear, gloves, and hearing protection.
